As a manufacturer of specialized cutting tools for metal, Promax Tool Company’s mission is to manufacture and distribute
premium performance carbide cutting tool products that satisfy customer requirements and expectations 100% of the time.
BASC upgraded Promax’s Sage BusinessWorks from v12 to BW Gold, and then wrote a order entry import program that allows
their operations manager to import large orders directly from an Excel spreadsheet provided to them by one of their biggest customers.
On a weekly basis, this import saves Promax many hours of re-keying data, plus it increases the accuracy of the large orders.
In addition, BASC has also provided Promax their Part Batch Editor tool which allows for exporting large number of inventory
parts to Excel for editing, and then importing the changes back to the Sage BusinessWorks inventory at the touch of a button.
Both of these enhancements has saved Promax many hours of time, enabling them to recoup their entire investment back from Sage
BusinessWorks many times over.

Training Case Study
How we helped this multiple location retailer reduce their accounting expenses by over 50% while improving the quality of their
in-house information.
One of our customers has half a dozen retail stores, and used their accounting firm to provide their financials and bookkeeping
services. BASC replaced their older Great Plains system, and then provided them training on producing their financial statements
in-house. Once the staff was trained properly on procedures like bank reconciliation, entering in bank transactions properly, and
producing financial statements, the retail operation has been saving thousands of dollars every month in reduction of their
accounting fees. This has resulted in a very big return on their Sage BusinessWorks investment, many times over.
Training and Custom Development
How we helped a manufacturer improve their internal accounting information, and streamline processes by adding functionality to
Sage BusinessWorks.
A manufacturing client had used Sage BusinessWorks for many years, but never understood the financial reporting in the General Ledger. They produced all their financial statements in Excel, manually transferring numbers from Sage BusinessWorks reports.
Once we were able to train the controller on how the financial numbers are produced by Sage BusinessWorks, he was able to feel
comfortable enough to produce the reports he needed directly from the system, eliminating data re-entry. Once we were able to
understand their processes better, we were able to introduce improvements to their system, such as automatically importing sales
orders from emails created by their website. We also were able to provide a manufacturing monitoring system that allows their
warehouse staff in 2 different locations to update the production schedules from order entry, allowing for management to better
monitor productivity.
